Matt Tyner has been an artist and educator in flame worked glass since 2005.  He began his career in glass apprenticing for established artists in Asheville NC, and quickly established himself as a creative innovator in the field.  In 2011 he began demonstrating at Art Glass Invitational in Hilliards, PA which led to teaching engagements at the Studio at Corning Museum Of Glass, Pittsburgh Glass Center, Asheville Glass Center (NCGC), and Penland School of Crafts.

Matt's focus is on vibrant and complex functional glass art.  His passions are centered around appealing forms with high technical skill and colorful application.  Matt moved to Costa Rica in January 2022 and opened his glass studio in Quepos the following year.
