Ben Hammond

Ben Hammond is a Ceramic artist born in the U.S. and now residing and creating in Costa Rica. Ben’s passion for art began as a child and was influenced by his Grandmother who was a painter and quilt maker. It was in 2005 when Ben began studying ceramics in university and knew this was the medium he would devote his life practice to.  After earning a BFA in Ceramics he went on to study at Penland School of Art and Craft as well as assist in building several wood burning and soda kilns over the following years. Ben’s work has been selected for national and regional juried art shows in the U.S.  Ben is committed to evolving his practice and sharing his knowledge in the field of ceramics as he settles in his new home of Costa Rica.
