Karen Scott

Karen Scott has been entranced by color and reflections since childhood.

“I remember standing in awe in front of a magnificent stained glass window in an English cathedral and seeing a cascade of beautiful color around and on me. It was magical.”

Many years later Scott signed up for a class in stained glass and has been working in glass ever since.

Karen works in the Tiffany copper-foil method of stained glass. Her favorite subject matters are bright and tropical and reflect her love of color, nature, travel and adventure.
Scott is also a photographer, makes jewelry and has recently taken up another childhood interest in quilting.
Rest assured; her quilts aren’t like those your grandmother made.
They are also bright, colorful and tropical. Scott believes that living in Costa Rica is especially inspiring for artists. “You can’t help but feel more creative when you live in a place with such beautiful golden sunlight, fantastic scenery and abundant wildlife including a huge diversity of colorful birds and butterflies,” she says.

Scott is a world traveler and has lived in the United States, England, United Arab Emirates and now Costa Rica.
