For most of my “working life”, I created artful solutions for clients’ needs.

Twenty years in the Napa Valley were spent hand carving winery doors, designing and dovetailing woods for collections of wine for presentation at fancy auctions, producing one of a kind sculptural tables for winery tasting rooms and private cellars. In time, exact tolerances, gold leafing majestic carved lettering, pomp and circumstance in general began to feel restrictive. So we jumped.

Into the Sonoran mountains of southern Arizona. Into public art and working with metal. Steel sculptures, aluminum driveway gates, copper fountains, stainless steel life sized human sculptures, 16’ tall wind powered zoetropes. Employing more whimsy, more freedom, I have reveled in enjoying the explorations in new materials forged into expressions collectors valued and people enjoyed. After 20 years we jumped.

Into Costa Rica. Simple form in function using wood, metal, rock or bamboo have allowed me more exploration in beauty imagined, created and made real.
