Costa Rican artist Seidy grew up on a small cattle ranch north of Parrita without electricity or running water for first 16 years of her life. She dropped out of school in the 7th grade to help the family. As a young adult she began creating glass and stone bead jewelry, until taking an 8-month community college course where she learned scroll saw work and wood design, which is her current focus. Seidy has been married to John Wisenstine who is also a Galeria 1084 artist, for 20 years. They have a child aged 14 named Jeremia David, and she loves being a stay-at-home mom that also has the freedom to explore her creative side.
