Nele Tonsiste is a self-taught artist who values creativity, even in the little details of her life and the lives of others around her.  She has an immense appreciation for those who are able to find creative ideas and transform them into reality and strives to do that in her own art.

Born in Estonia, Nele did not have many opportunities as a child to learn about various forms of art and to express herself, but she drew constantly.   A few years ago, she finally picked up a paintbrush and discovered an infinity for painting.  

“I had these ideas flowing in my head and was scared to put them down until one day I realized that it was not doing me any good just thinking about it, and that I simply just needed to do it” says Nele.  We are glad she did!

Nele is a versatile artist who likes to explore different types of artistic styles.  Her whimsical “Earthlings” series contrasts with her abstracts in style, but not in flow and the use of bright, vibrant colors and flowing lines.  A resident of Costa Rica for nine years, she loves beauty and appreciates nature.
