Artist Statement
As I observe the political sphere of human activity convulse, and as bad actors and algorithms inflame humanity’s worst impulses and steer us toward real existential peril, my art does not seek to comment directly. Instead, it aims to deliver savory reminders of the grounded reality that perseveres through the distraction, noise, and inward focus of our consuming cyberspace. I remain stubbornly focused on the simple, captivating and sufficient beauty of our shared human experience. With open-hearted observation, contemplation, and rendering, I articulate an invitation to stillness and a reminder of our forgotten enoughness. It is my humble attempt at an antidote.
