Kate Fleming

Artist Statement

Kate Fleming is a ceramic artist and illustrator whose work is rooted in a lifelong passion for craftsmanship, storytelling, and the natural world. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design (MassArt) in Boston and brings decades of creative experience to her studio practice. Originally from New England, Kate has lived and worked in Kennebunk, Maine, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Asheville, North Carolina before recently making Costa Rica her home. In addition to her work as an artist, she served as the gallerist and director of The Gallery @38 Cameron in Cambridge, where she supported and exhibited a diverse range of contemporary artists. Today, Kate continues to create expressive ceramic works and illustrations inspired by her surroundings, blending fine art, craftsmanship, and a deep appreciation for place. As a Resident Artist at Galería 1084, she is excited to share her evolving body of work with collectors and visitors from around the world.
