Refund and Returns Policy

All Sales Are Final

At Galería 1084, we take great pride in representing original artwork and handcrafted goods created by talented artists and makers. Because many of our pieces are one-of-a-kind, our return policy differs from that of traditional retail stores.

Original Artwork

All sales of original artwork are final.

Due to the unique nature of original art, we cannot accept returns or exchanges because of a change of mind, personal preference, color perception, or décor compatibility. We encourage customers to contact us with any questions before purchasing, and we’re always happy to provide additional photographs, videos, measurements, or information.

Color Disclaimer

We make every effort to accurately represent the colors and details of each artwork and handcrafted item. However, colors may appear differently depending on your computer monitor, mobile device, screen settings, and lighting conditions. Slight variations in color are normal and are not considered defects or grounds for return.

Jewelry & Gift Items

Non-custom jewelry and select gift items may be eligible for return within 14 days of delivery or purchase, provided they are:

  • Unworn and unused
  • In their original condition
  • Returned with original packaging and tags
  • Accompanied by the original receipt or proof of purchase

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged or an incorrect item was received.

International Purchases

Because we are located in Costa Rica, international shipping and customs regulations can make returns difficult and expensive.

If an item has been shipped internationally and has already left Costa Rica, return shipping, customs fees, duties, taxes, and any import/export costs are the responsibility of the customer. In some cases, returns may not be practical or possible due to customs regulations.

Custom & Personalized Items

Custom orders, commissions, personalized items, and special orders cannot be returned or exchanged.

Jewelry Repairs

If jewelry purchased from Galería 1084 experiences a manufacturing defect or damage during normal wear within 14 days of purchase, please contact:

Damaged or Incorrect Orders

Please inspect your order immediately upon arrival.

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or you receive the wrong item, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at galeria1084@gmail.com, including photographs of the item, packaging, and shipping box.

We will evaluate the issue and work with you to provide a repair, replacement (when possible), or refund.

Sale Items & Gift Cards

Sale items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

Exchanges

Because many of our items are one-of-a-kind, exchanges are handled on a case-by-case basis and are subject to availability.

If an exchange is approved, customers are responsible for returning the original item before the replacement item is shipped.

Refunds

If a return is approved, we will notify you once the item has been received and inspected.

Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that banks and credit card companies may require additional time to process the refund.
