Workshop
Create Your Own Pocket Mala with Lisa Balsdon
Pocket Mala / Bracelet Making Workshop
In this hands-on jewelry-making workshop, participants will have the opportunity to create either a 27-bead pocket mala with a focal bead or a hand-knotted bracelet. Designed for beginners and creative makers alike, this class offers a relaxed and supportive space to learn foundational beadwork and knotting techniques, while creating a handmade piece that is personally meaningful and beautiful.
Participants will be guided through the process of choosing materials, designing piece, and learning the techniques to complete their project. Those creating a pocket mala will learn the basics of mala construction and how they are used as a tool for meditation, breathwork, grounding, or daily intention. Those choosing the bracelet option will learn hand-knotting techniques used to create a durable, wearable and thoughtful finished piece.
The class will explore bead selection, spacing, knotting, design balance, and finishing details, with plenty of support provided throughout. No previous jewelry-making experience is needed.
Each participant will leave with a finished piece they created themselves, along with practical skills they can continue to build on in future jewelry projects.
